Stitch Club is a Canadian creative craft business that specializes in handmade embroidered art (one of a kind finished products and beginner friendly kits), unique handcrafted textile accessories as well as creative instruction (both online and in person). The company was born from a desire to bring playful, story-filled joy back into our everyday environments. Our style is defined by simple shapes, and rich textures. We believe art should be friendly, slightly whimsical and filled with narrative. In our world, art beckons you from across a room and makes you smile when you step up close to see the story it holds. Whether you are here to collect a finished work of art or start your own creative journey, there is a place for you in this folklore.
When I needed to reconnect with the physical world, I looked inward and went to my history. I grew up watching my grandmother, parents and aunts create. One hand held a paintbrush, a pencil, another guided a needle through fabric and yet another, a saw through wood. They didn’t view creating beautiful things as an elitist gallery pursuit — they viewed it as a daily comforting ritual. My family taught me that manual skill carries a “soul story” that machine-made items simply cannot replicate. I have brought their traditional skills into the modern era, but I left the stiff, rule-bound structures behind.
See you at the table,
